Sheffield Hillsborough is a Parliamentary constituency in the City of Sheffield. It is considered a safe Labour seat and was represented by Helen Jackson from 1992 to 2005. She didn't stand again in the 2005 general election and was succeeded by Angela Smith. The Sheffield Hillsborough constituency is due to be abolished at the next General Election (2009-2010). It is to be divided up and incorporated into the Sheffield Brightside and Hillsborough, Sheffield Hallam and Penistone and Stocksbridge constituencies.

Boundaries

Sheffield Hillsborough constituency covers north west Sheffield. It is named for Hillsborough and reaches north west to Stocksbridge.
   It includes the wards of East Ecclesfield, West Ecclesfield, Hillsborough, Stannington, Stocksbridge and Upper Don and Walkley.
   It borders the constituencies of Barnsley West and Penistone, High Peak, Rotherham, Sheffield Central, Sheffield Hallam, Sheffield Brightside and Wentworth.
